Cookie policy
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier that is sent to your browser from a website’s computer and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a web site to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.
Use of cookies
A new EU law came into force (e-Privacy directive) on 26 May 2012 regulating the use of cookies on websites. We do not use many cookies for our websites, but those we use are detailed below. Our public website (leverhulmehotel.co.uk) also includes some YouTube videos which may introduce some cookies. Options to allow you to share links on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter etc are included on each page, and will use cookies you already have for those sites (which may record your username etc to aid logging in). Please refer to those media sites to review their cookie policy.
Google Analytics cookies collect information on how visitors use our site and to help us target areas of the site for improvement. The information collected is anonymous, but allows us to track how many visitors we have had to the site and how they arrived at our site.
For more information please refer to the Google Analytics Privacy Overview.
